Ex-Inmate: “A Parable that changed my life”

My names are Kingsley Ugonnaya Ahuruezenma. I am a native of Umuevuru Uratta Umuoha in Isialangwa North Local Government Area of Abia State, Nigeria. I was arrested on the 25th of November, 2011 at about 2pm at Umu-ika junction by Umuacha vigilant group after I was wrongfully framed up by my friend whom, I borrowed the sum of Twenty Thousand Naira (N20,000) to aid him pay for his house rent. We resided at the same building then located at 120 MCC Road Osisioma Aba. After two weeks of detention by the vigilante group. I was taken to State CID Umuahia where I spent three months before I was charged to magistrate court 2 Umuahia. From this Court, I was reminded at Afara prison custody in Umuahia. While in prison custody, I had no one to follow-up my case to high court for trial, so, I was given “seal and dial” meaning that the matter should be transferred to high court for trial. From 2012 to 2018 I was never taken to court for the commencement of my trial, but I thank God for Vision Africa Radio station Umuahia. While in Umuahia prison custody, Bishop Dr Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha visited Umuahia Prison for his birthday where so many inmates encountered Christ after his words of exaltation including me. In his exaltation, he gave us a parable that changed my life and became an inspiration that restored and strengthened my faith that all hope is not lost. That singular encounter became a turning point in my life till this day.

Today in Umuahia prison, Vision Africa has become a great source of positive transformation and hope to so many inmates of which I am a beneficiary and now a witness. Through the effort of Vision Africa, I proudly say and confess that so many inmates have now embraced a positive change through their acceptance of Christ into their lives as their Lord and personal savior. The relief materials like drugs, soaps, cloths and foot wears, inspirational books and bibles, academic books and other humanitarians given by the organization has also gone a long way in providing a better life for so many of the inmates which more experiencing rough conditions in prison.

I was discharged on 12th but because of what Bishop Dr. Ndukwo Onuoha is doing in Umuahia Prison through Uwalaka Uchechukwu his Prison Outreach coordinator, I had to come to Vision Africa to congratulate them for their good work in Umuahia Prison Service. Vision Africa is for those that has Vision that’s why I encountered Christ through the work of Bishop Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha. I thank God that today I am an evangelist.

Last week, Vision Africa gave me the privilege to be in the air which so many people have promised to assist me through the radio program. I want to thank Bishop Dr. Sunday Ndukwo Onuoha (our Daddy in the Lord). I pray that God will continue to do a marvelous work in Vision Africa in Jesus Name Amen.
