Vision Africa is proud to announce that Troy Miller, President and CEO of the National Religious Broadcasters Association will be the featured speaker at our 2025 Media Institute, to be held June 24-25 in Umuahia. President Miller will be in attendance throughout the conference to talk and share with the hundreds of participants expected to attend in person, as well as the thousands more expected online. Other speakers will include representatives from the Nigerian government and from Abia State University, as well as an impressive slate of U.S. college media professors, radio management professionals, business communication experts, and photography, marketing, and social media entrepreneurs. Participants will receive instruction on current media industry trends and best practices in two tracks: Production and Storytelling and Broadcasting and Management. The conference will cover a wide range of topics including artificial intelligence (AI), audio, video, and photography techniques and workflows, pre-production and writing, branding, ethics, broadcast news and station management, and much more. Vision Africa’s goal in presenting Media Institute is to promote best practices in media in a region where radio stations are frequently under government control and to prepare young people to be leaders in fair and accurate reporting, social media responsibility, and entrepreneurship. “Through Media Institute, Vision Africa is raising up the leaders of tomorrow today,” said VA President Bishop Dr. Sunday Onuoha. “By exposing them to the best the industry has to offer, we hope to also inspire them to share God’s love to a hurting world with truthful and uplifting programming.” |
